Pan-fried oysters

Preparation Time: 30 minutes with extra care in drying the osters after opening them Cooking Time: 3 minutes


Fresh oysters



1 egg



  • Open oysters, remove from shell and place on paper towels.
  • Prepare 3 plates: one with flour, one with beaten egg and one with breadcrumbs
  • Roll oysters in successively flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs
  • Brown them in a frying pan with butter
  • Once golden on both sides, remove from pan, place back in their shells and serve with a salad
